IADC437 tricone roller bits have very long tungsten carbide inserts that suit for drilling very soft rocks. Soft rocks are always full of sticky compositions that covers teeth which makes bit-balling. Shorter tungsten carbide inserts could drill hard rocks easily, but it can not drill soft and sticky rocks, bit-balling will prevent rock from being broke.
